You are standing hunched over behind this camera, behind this tripod, in front of your consciousness.  Center the image – clear, centered, and very bright and colourful is a must.

         Focus in, focus out, turn the dial on the lens just a little or a lot but always keep the image in view.

If you find your thoughts straying look back through the lens.  At the image.  This image.  Always this image.  Grow to love this image but you cannot click this shutter and you know this.  
          Never be able to hold the stiff paper, bearing this image in front of your eyes.  You can see it, or you wish you can; it is translucent and always only just in front of what is in front of your eyes.  
You can still see through this image, though you squint and wink and blink through this one tiny hole through which you hope to view everything.  Absolutely everything that is this image in absolution, and everything you can’t quite press the button, squeeze the shutter, or hold a stiff bit of paper in your fingers, always directly in front of what is in front of your eyes.
